Tote+5%, Tote+10% etc will be paid as a dividend equal to the dividend paid by the Victorian TAB, plus the nominated perentage bonus based on the WINNING portion of the bet (e.g. $100 bet on Tote+5% at a dividend of $2 returns $205). What is Best Tote?
Best Tote guarantees a Win Dividend to be equal to highest official Win dividend paid by any of the three major totalizators (T.A.B) that are governed by an Australian State Governments regulations ("TAB"). Please go to Betchoice Wager Type Rules in the rules page for rules on this type of betting.
What is Middle Tote?
Middle Tote guarantees a Win Dividend to be equal to second highest official Win dividend from the dividends paid by the three major totalizators (T.A.B) that are governed by an Australian State Governments regulations ("TAB"). What is Top Fluc?
Top Fluc is an abbreviation for Top Fluctuation. This is the best price bet by the course bookmakers at the meeting you are betting at. This price is determined by the APN (Australian Price Network). For example, if a horses price opened at $3 then got out to a price of $4.50 and then cam back into $3.20, you would be given the $4.50. Please note that Top Fluc can sometimes be subject to deductions if there is a late scratching that is withdrawn after the eventual winning horse reached its maximum price during betting. What is Fixed Win and Fixed Place?
These are the traditional fixed prices. Whatever price you take will be the price you are paid at unless there is a scratching from the race, in which case your collect could be subject to deductions. Please go to Betchoice Wager Type Rules in the rules page for rules on this type of betting.
What is Line Betting?
This is where one team is given a certain amount of points start and the other team must concede the same amount of points, known as the line. To be declared the winner under this form of betting, the team conceding the start must win by more than the start, while the team in receipt of the start must either win the match outright or lose by a margin which is less than the start. For example, if you back a team that has a line of -10.5 your team must win by 11 points or more. If you back the other team that has the line of +10.5 your bet will be successful if your team does not lose the match by any more than 10 points. The start in most line betting has a half point included so that no draws can occur. However, some events exclude the half point from the start (called a "flat line"). In this case when the winning margin by the team conceding the start exactly equals the start (known as a "push") all bets are refunded . What is Points Betting?
Similar to Line betting where one team is given a certain amount of points start and the other team concedes a certain number of points, but the main difference is that the amount of points received and conceded in a match are not reciprocals of each other. For example, instead of one team having -10.5 and the other +10.5 they might be -12.5 and +8.5. The odds for this type of betting will be better than the traditional line betting because you are giving away more start. What is Head To Head?
Normally offered on individuals involved in a team event (eg two batsmen in a cricket match). The player to achieve the higher nominated performance (eg runs scored) is the winner. In the case of a draw dead heat rules will apply unless otherwise stated. This will normally mean that you will pick up half of your original collect. What is Total Points?
